. Dimma also mentioned he grew up with Cheech and Chong movies. So there's that stigma still there. But medicinal marijuana has been very much beneficial for Dimma's health (back). Also has important uses regarding mental health treatment.

* 1st year is the easiest as coach. 2nd and 3rd is the hardest. After you get past that you're okay. Clubs need to hold fire. Some react too quickly to changing.

Enjoy seeing Biggie play his first game, Dan Rioli at half-back, Short in the midfield. Maurice also although Dimma wishes Maurice had his fingers on the weekend (as he fumbled quite a bit). There's also new "toys" in the VFL you want to see play at AFL level.
* Lynch incident?
We teach our players to pick up the ball and protect yourself. The alternative is to lead with your head and drive into the tackler. We don't want that. Players need to learn to protect themselves. Sometimes accidents happen especially when it's a tall vs a small. Impey opens up and leads with his head as he's tackling. It's incredibly brave but the reality is accidents happen in our game and we need to accept that.
* Pickett incident?
Dimma admitted Marlion will struggle to get off based on a strict interpretation of the new rules that came in last year. Marlion is stiff. It's a football act but the way the rules are now, it [the bump] needs to be perfect or unfortunately you'll get yourself into a bit of trouble.
* Praised Leon Cameron. Would've left a strong mark on that Giants group despite not claiming silverware. Will always be connected to our club as well as the Dogs & Giants.
* Your future?
Got two more years on his contract. But there will come a time when his journey ends. When this group stops challenging then it's probably time for the end of the journey for him. There's a difference between rebuilding and regenerating. We've got more players towards the end than at the beginning so it's about finding a template to balance what's best for both groups. Robbo then asked if Dimma would coach at another club and Dimma didn't say no. Then said he should've just said no.
* Essendon being scrutinised this week and handling their response on Saturday night?
We can only control what we can control. We know if we play near our best footy then we'll have a strong chance of winning. We are definitely aware that if Essendon get going they can certainly hurt sides.
