Been going on about this for awhile now.

The only kid we have played when it did not come down to injuries has been Gibcus the rest have been dropped as soon as a mature player has become available.
The concern is if the older blokes stay healthy the kids mostly won't play and the chasm that is there now regarding the gap between games played for our younger players and the oldies is just getting wider and wider.

There is a reason why we struggle so much when we cop injuries.
If we are not winning a flag then i truly believe we need to find a better balance between playing kids and the older players.

Who is injured that MRJ has taken the place of? A young player you’ve been very critical of btw.

Other than that which players would you like dropped to make way for younger talent? Out of the 22 that played on the weekend you could argue that Castagna and Mcintosh being upgraded on. Those 2 guys are 25 and 28 so are hardly the cause of the skewed age demo. I’m all for playing the cubs but I wouldn’t gift them games over our current players for the sole reason that they are younger. Whether you think it or not, the fact is that we are currently in finals contention and while that remains they have to pick the strongest team available regardless of age.
