Honestly that U19 game is better viewing than AFL these days.

Love the way the umps just put the whistle away a bit.

No stupid SHocking stand rule and the umps called ball-ups straight away as soon as the ball was contested on the ground and not in motion rather than waiting for 30 players to pile on each other.

ps. Darren Goldspink and Bryan Sheehan were the umps by the way that day.

Grown men cried the day Ronnie died
Was a shocking time for all involved with the dogs and Willy

Just awful to think how something can happen like that , a fit athlete water skiing, shattering

Lots of tears were also shed at his local cricket Club; West Newport. Remember it well when the news came through no one could believe it. Shattered some of the Club's old timers because they knew he was such a special talent

Ronnie played for the men's A Turf side whe  he was still eligible for under 17s, he was thwt good. For memory he scored at least 2 centuries for the men's A turf side

A new year always starts with a few memories of Ronnie James, who died on January 1, 1990. Made his VFA debut for Williamstown in the 1985 grand final - at age 14.
