64 marks of which 7 are contested of which 4 are speccies  ;D

He's becoming a bit of a Russell Robertson.

Really useful player.

Pettifer aims for three

Australian Football League

Kayne Pettifer continues on his speccy spree and is a chance this week to win an unprecedented third Toyota Mark of the Year nomination in a row.

Following big grabs in round seven against the Swans and round eight against Adelaide, Pettifer flew high again in round nine against Geelong to again be up for voting.

This week he is up against two other previously nominated players in Brett Burton – for his acrobatic grab against Carlton – and Brett Ebert – for his strong pack mark against Essendon. After the Expert Panel round of votes, Pettifer is within striking distance of Burton to win again.

Kayne Pettifer  69%
Brett Burton    27%
Brett Ebert         4%

Total Votes:: 1003

The challenge is on for Kayne to pull something special out tonight in the speccie department if he wants to beat Macleod and Johncock and win mark of the week for the 4th week in a row.

It was good to see Kayne not get flustered by some ridiculous decisions against him. Another strong and mature game from Petts. He might want to though donate to the umpire's retirement fund to get back in their good books. That deliberate out of bounds he copped although technically there under the current new rules  ::) and him getting reported going for the spoil, were up there with the two most stupid decisions ever. Talk about penalising someone for playing in the true spirit of the game. If the AFL want to spoil Aussie Rules then keep up with this crap.

If the ump who booked him doesn't throw it out himself on seing the replay then he shouldn't be umpiring.
