Hickmott lines the pockets of Richmond AFL players again

A fortnight after landing a plunge on Braveman'sgame for a handful of AFL players from the Richmond Tigers, Michael Hickmott has lined their pockets again, this time with debutant Bulls On Parade.

While premiership players Liam Baker, Nathan Broad and Jack Graham are part-owners of Braveman'sgame, this time they were among the crew to benefit from some stable confidence about the prospects of Bulls On Parade at Morphettville on Saturday.

Hickmott revealed he went to lunch with some of the players and had been pretty bullish about the four-year-old's chances and that was reflected in the market, with Bulls On Parade opening up at $3.20 before jumping a $2.60 favourite.

But it wasn't the most comfortable watch for those who were on, with Bulls On Parade getting further back than expected and having to navigate his way through the field before unleashing a strong finishing burst to prevail by a neck – much to the delight of connections and some footy players who were enjoying their off-season.

"Geez I was nervous on the corner, I declared him to a few people," Hickmott said.

"I was at a lunch on Thursday with the boys from the Richmond footy club and every time I opened my mouth they just had more on him.

"It's great it all worked out."
