Rebirth of Tivs
« on: June 13, 2006, 04:03:44 AM »
The cynic could say there's no better kick up the backside for any footballer than being at the crossroads and in the final year of his contract but Tivs has reinvented himself so far this year. He has regained his confidence and is more of an inside player this year. And as Mopsy pointed out in another thread that long running goal on the weekend was about his first in 5 years.

Thoughts?

its all about perception.

yes he is playing much more positive and looks like he is running harder

but he is kicking the ball inside 50 more than ever

but

his effective diposal as stated in the footy record is only 58%

way too low 4 this level, and if you watched him closely on the w/e, he did finish of nice work from browny, but his sloppy handballs and kicks cost us 3 or 4 goal opportunities
and that 4 me , means your not good enough

he is only filling in time for white, jon, etc
