Most improved Tiger?
« on: July 23, 2024, 10:56:23 PM »
According to the AFL website.

Hugo Ralphsmith
Used mainly as a running defender through his first four seasons, Ralphsmith has taken big steps on his fast legs this year. The 22-year-old was still on the fringes at the beginning of 2024, missing Richmond's first five games, but with Marlion Pickett filling other gaps around the ground Ralphsmith took his spot on the wing and has made it his own, playing every game since and – Adem Yze will hope – locking down an important position for the next few years. Tom Brown is another to prosper in a glum season after entering it with just one game under his belt.

Meh - hard to argue considering how poor he was but probably says more about the year & the state of the list than anything else.... :shh

Ralph and Miller.

Miller fading as the season goes on but still much improved.

Hugo growing as the season goes on but only really reaching the level that you'd consider minimum standard IMO.

Got tired as the season wore on

But I’d go with Brown

Could only really be HRS, Miller, Brown, MRJ pre injury

Very slim pickings

I reckon Mansell has gone from battler to looking like he belongs as a small forward.  His game against Port has to rate as a personal best performance.  (I think having Steely Green by his side made a difference too, load sharing buddy)

Also agree, good pick up.

My sentiment on him is the same as Hugo.

Seth Campbell

Good call although he did have a flat spot there a few weeks ago. I like what Ben Miller has brought to the backline as well.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
