Dunno if its a good omen or not but i can only think of one team who has won a premiership with an average age over 28 that was the pussies in 2022.

Reckon you would have to go back a long way to find another.

The of age of teams is not as important as the experience or games played. The vast majority of premiership sides would have over 100 games played on average.

Only two teams have won a premiership this century with less than 100 game average. WB 2016 and Melbourne 2021 who averaged 99 games.

Lists can be awfully skewed  just by having a few extra 30 plus year olds compared to most other teams.

Our problem atm the vets would make up the vast majority of games played and the rest including mid tier are very inexperienced when it comes to games played.

I think it says how well managed a team Freo are. Youngest, least experienced and in the 8. They play some awful games every now and again but with that list profile they should be bottom 4.
