4 Superstars out of Game- WA vs Vic Country

Clearly 4 superstars out of todays game.

Scott Gumbleton, Courageous, Quick for size, Big Mark, Leader, Can Kick Goals from CHF, Can Play at CHB easily. Dead set star.
Lachlan Hansen, Courageous, Quick for size, Big Mark, Can easily play at Full Back, CHB or CHF. Dead set star.
Leroy Jetta, Speed machine, good disposal, potential match winner. A Wallace type. Dead set star.
Clayton Collard, Speed merchant, good disposal, would be great in a midfield. A Wallace type. Should become a star.

Others by the by

Grigg, doesnt have a right foot. Good Player though. Decision: PASS on Grigg- not for us.
Leuenberger, Average today. Shouldnt use either a 1st or 2nd rounder on  him. Pass on Leuenberger- not for us.
Colbung, Gets it but much better players of similar ilk. Pass on Colbung not for us.
Krakouer, Doesnt get it alot, Could become  very good. Pass on Krakouer- 1 is more than enough.
Hawkesley, Good runner, need to see more- mid to late pick up based on today.
Masten, See Hawkesley
Eddy, Need to see more, but shows enough to be considered.
Sheringham, Didnt see him alot, but early showed good signs and was hard at it.
McKenzie- did nice things 2nd rounder. Will be ok at CHB
Reid- did some nice things but PASS I reckon
the others i didnt notice many have tricks.

If anyone went, id be interested in your opinions

We must get one of these two to replace Richo in 3 years. Simple as that. These kids are future superstars of the AFL.

Gibbs will still be top 3 as he and Hurley carried a poor SA side against a underrated Vic Metro team. Bloody Geelong will finally get the FF they've been desperately after for so long for under the F/S rule.

Trade picks away this year and the club might as well shut up shop. We need to trade for more high picks and have one more good clean out.

I was amazed with Gumbletons ability at CHB. People have often said hes just a CHF...not on what I saw today. 4 stars out there today and we must get 1 of Hansen or Gumbleton

People who have priors with trading are

North Melbourne
Port Adelaide &
Fremantle

I would be targetting these 3 clubs for trade, I dont know how...but we need to trade and make things happen.

I can't see Port being stupid and giving up picks but North under Laidley trying to stay competitive to survive financially and Freo under Connolly believing they have a good list are definite targets for us.

Hopefully because Essendon need midfielders they'll go for Gibbs who did his No 1. ranking no harm today. I can't see Carlton bypassing one of Hansen or Gumbleton as they need KPPs. We would need to finish 3rd or 4th bottom to get one of Hansen or Gumbleton. They both won't last beyond those picks. We'll have a better idea were we'll finish in the next 6 weeks. If we happen to lose all 6 while remaining competitive we'd be better off resting our senior players and playing all the kids in the last 4 weeks (ie. tank).

Some people around the traps went to town on Jetta and Collard after the 1st game, and I thought poo I must of missed something, just had a bit of a look before at both boyz...and they can play(just reiterated my impression)...all I can say Is I think my thoughts on these 2 are correct. I hope Greg Miller and co. are not influenced by outside opinion which is basically rubbish.

Hansen or Gumbleton ... that's all that needs to be said to the RFC. I hope Hansen is ok btw after getting knocked out today running back with the flight of the ball  :-\.

I agree, but I seriously dislike it when players are given labels- stupidly so by people who arent a part of the process, nevertheless I agree Gumby and Hansen are the top 2.

By drafting Hansen, it may increase our chances of luring his brother to come home from West Coast also.

Lachlan at FB/CHB and his brother at CHF with Clever at FF  :thumbsup
