Where are these players at?

Mark Chaffey - Has been fairly good since coming back into the team, still think he is a player who could be gone and we really wouldnt miss him. Plenty of young players who could take his spot.

Greg Tivendale - Had an up and down year, good has been very good and the bad dreadfull. Last few weeks have been ok and with him out of contract it is probably the right time to move him on.

Greg Stafford - All reports are that he will retire although the last few weeks he has still provided a good option up forward. Knobel is ok in the ruck but no good up forward. Patterson is ok up forward and not that good in the ruck. Maybe we persist with Patto up forward and Knobel can ruck from the bench if fit.

Andrew Krakour - I think Krak has been fairly consistant over the last month. If the right trade came, then move him on. Only thing with Krak is that if he puts it all together he can be a great player. Not sure if we persist or cut our losses.

Trent Knobel - Unjury plaged season, but is that enough to save him? Not much else besides Patto and i dont think he is ready for the ruck yet.

Shane Tuck - Wins plenty of contested footy but turns it over way too much for mine. Another player who could also find himself at another club next season if the trade is right.

What are peoples thoughts?

Chaffey - retire/gone - still as courageous as ever but his decision making is dreadful such as handballing to teammates with an opponent right on them. Then there was that almost comical moment last night in the 3rd quarter where he kicked it straight to Hird. Hird kicked it back and Chaffey got another go only to kick it back to Hird  .

Tivs - 50/50 - might get another year or two while we wait for enough of our young midfielders to consistently deliver and push him out of the side. Still a number of others ahead of him that deserve the flick first.

Staff - retire. Knobel could be gone too as he suffered another injury yesterday at Coburg.

Krak - trade if an offer too good to refuse came along otherwise stay. To use a Plough term he's graph is still moving upwards.

Tuck - he's going to have to work hard on gaining a yard over summer.

Dont forget we will have back, Cogs, Newman, Brown and the development of Raines as an onballer, so someone will be offered as trade

Irrespective of what Laidley has said, if he gets what he considers a good deal he will cough up pick 3. What he considers a good deal and what is a good deal for him are 2 seperate matters. But 2 players should be offered up for pick 3 and neither player would win them a flag, but the player we could get at 3 would help us win a flag somewhere down the track.
