Craig McRae on SEN from earlier to tonight (Thursday)
* Exciting to be at Tigerland. He's been here a week. Boys are working hard.
* Fantastic opportunity after coaching U18s for the last couple of years. Obviously gone to a great club with a great history and on the up. All about earning trust and respect at the moment.
* Miller rang McRae initially. Informal chat at first then caught up for more formal talks with Wallace, Miller and Armstrong when he was down in Melbourne coaching the Allies game.
* On Kingsley - He's only been here a day so too early to tell yet. We had a boxing session and Kingsley said himself he's more a lover than a fighter. Struggled a bit (laughed). Time will tell. He does offer something the club is after - a guy who can kick 40 goals a season and add a bit more flexibility.
* A caller asked him about Tippett - 200cm talented power forward in the draft. McRae expects Tippett to go in the first two rounds. Only has played footy for 14 months coming from a basketball background. Still question marks on finding the footy and at the moment he's relied more a winning contested marks.
* 15 Queenslanders were invited to draft camp so he expects about 8-10 Queenslanders to be picked up.
* Asked what is Richmond's biggest challenge/issue for 2007 - McRae said the continued maturing of young guys which is his job. We have a big core of talented youngsters. Also need to keep our best players on the park. Mentioned Browny's enthusiasm yesterday at training was exceptional. We need to improve the defensive side of our game as the 100 point losses obviously showed.
