Ponting will probably remain captain for a while but yeah no reason why he couldn't provided the pressure of the role doesn't rob from his batting. If he keeps going as a run machine he'll end up the 2nd best batsman of all time and not far behind Bradman with his average of 90  :o. He hasn't as yet made really big scores like 200s. He's just very consistent and often ends up not out at the end of innings or matches.

Hussey is only 5 months younger than Ponting. Michael Clarke, for mine.

 im with you on this one Fish  clarke will be the captain for the future generation, hussey is a great deputy but me thinks the acb will be looking forward to the next 10 rather than just 5 years
