... according to the Club’s Rehabilitation and Conditioning Coach Warren Kofoed.

“We’re very pleased with how Nathan [Brown]’s progressed since he’s been back in training. He worked particularly hard over the off-season after the removal of the rod in his leg to regain speed and fitness. The physical scars are the only indication of the trauma that he went through.

“Chris Newman has also been working very hard to put himself into a position to take part in the practice games, which would put him in good stead for the start of the season.

“And Mark Coughlan and Will Thursfield are working their way back into aspects of full training now following their total knee reconstructions. We expect them both to step it up over the next few weeks.”

“Troy [Simmonds]’s tracking ahead of schedule. He’s working very hard in the gym and pool and we’re certainly aiming to have him back for the start of the season,” Kofoed said.
