Although still winless, the Tigers were clearly buoyed by the encouraging showing against the Crows.

Wallace said there was no problem lifting his players despite the club's worst-ever start to a season.

"The morale has been outstanding," he said.

"It's a frustrating position for everyone to be in.

"We've had opportunities in games we haven't won, we've had our fair share of injuries ... the one real saving grace for the footy club has been the morale of the group.

"They've been outstanding."
