Do we consider Angus next week?
« on: May 19, 2007, 09:00:25 AM »
I know that Angus hasnt done much this season and isnt ready for AFL level, but we are scrapping the bottom of the tin in regards to rucks for next week. Essendon will play Hille and Laycock, so i dont see why Graham couldnt play ruck while Laycock is doing the same.

Adelaide showed last night and the last few weeks witht Griffen that a step up may prove a great challenge for the player and he may step up.

I would rather blood Angus and leave Polak in the D50.

Thoughts?

Only seen a little bit of the Coburg game, how did Gus perform today?

I think he has some potential, but if he were in AFL say next week, he'd get torn to pieces.

Kicked a good goal after the siren. Didn't seem to win many taps, but when he got his hand on a few they were good.

I agree with wayne. Gus is improving but he's nowhere near ready and still finding his feet at VFL level. He'd get totally smashed at AFL level.

On today's performance he will be lucky to keep his spot with Coburg. Absolutely smashed in ruck contests. Had a decent 4th quarter around the ground but was dominated in the ruck, barely got a tap and it resulted in some very easy clearances for Tassie.
