If Judd did come to Richmond, would you make him captain?

Tony Shaw believes Judd would be a chance to step straight in as our captain.

Would you make Judd captain if he by some miracle did come to Punt Rd?

The captaincy and whether he should be given it is an issue. Clubs like Richmond, Melbourne and Carlton represent the best vehicles for Judd to step straight into the job.

The ageing Kane Johnson and David Neitz may step aside because of a greater chance of success in their last years, while Carlton's leadership group, other than Nick Stevens, is still developing.

def have him in the leadership group but not captain, dvc or vc at best.

i think judd wouldnt even want or expect the captaincy at his new club.

having judd walk uinto the team as captain could destablise moral and a captain should always earn that role atthe club, not walk into it

NOPE

Dont even know if I really want him at all.
Well actually I do.
Via the PSD will be fine thanks.

Just don't think where we are it is worth the destabilisation of giving away good pick + a good player and then spending too much money.

I agree with xXx on his points of view here.
I would like to see Browny as captain next year.
When do we find out when the captain is selected anyway?

Agree with X's points. Judd will also have to get use to playing with new teammates as well as make sure his own recovery is right after the op he's happening.

Did Carlton make Barassi captain/coach when they grabbed him off Melbourne?

Well I'm in the minority here.  I'd make him captain.

- He would be our best player.

- He's won a premiership recently as Captain.

- Is the perfect age to lead the new generation

- Would have respect of the playing group.

- Leads from the front by working hard off the ball tackling, 1%s etc.

- Would be a fantastic figurehead for the club(maketing etc.)

- We have no obvious replacement for Sugar

 T Shaw is a fckwit.

Juddy wont even be ready for round one.

He needs massive surgery, rehab, recovery and get match fitness, something
he lost toward the end of 07.

So,NO,dont make him captain.

Tony Shaw personifies colon-wood and it's culture to a T.

'09 sure. Sugar can keep it until then..

Forget Richo.
If he was going to be captain he would have been before now.

IF by some freak of nature  :pray we get him.
Sure put him in the leadership group with a look at the captancy in a few years when he has proved his is worth whatever we end up paying for him.  Infact i read somewhere that he would look at it badly if he was offered the captancy as part of trying to lure him to a club, It said he wants to prove himself to his new club before that was even a possibilty.
