Summary

* A bit more busier than last year. A stronger draft last year so clubs wanted to hold onto their picks.

* Travis Johnstone - probably not. Great player but we're going younger than that. It's hard for older players to change club (except ruckmen). Clubs after younger players. Look what happened to Daniel Chick who had a reasonable year.

* PSD is different - when you've got your trading and National draft done, you see where you're vunerable on your list in your quest to be a top 8 side (hence Kingsley last year, we wouldn't have traded for him).

* We didn't put up any of our players to other clubs yesterday. We let other clubs show interest in our players instead. Interest in Hartigan, Meyer, Schulz (contracted). We either say no he's out of bounds or if he's a fringe player we sit down with the player and his manager and ask what do you think. Terry open with the players on where they are at. Krak in that category as his second half of the year wasn't good and he knows it wasn't.

* JON - pleased with him. Drafted at 17 and is only 19 years old now. He could have been still playing old U19s this year. Has improved over each preseason and believes he'll be a very good player.

* We think all the top 3 - Kreuzer, Cotchin and Cale Morton - are all very good footballers. We haven't made a decision on any of them.

* He still felt afte yesterday the Judd deal was a fair way off. He felt Carlton were confident but he didn't get that impression from the Eagles. Interested bystander. If it starts to breaks down and Carlton don't offer pick 1 or the Eagles want more then the Eagles will turn to us. We've said that, the Eagles have said that. We're in a good position with our salary and TPP. Judd isn't a free agent. A deal needs to be done. We haven't been idle. We've been listening. We haven't put up a proposition yet but would if talks b/w Eagles and Blues breaks down.

* Other targets - Won't give up pick 2 for any other player. Mitch Morton is a change in draft picks and we're working on that now but doesn't involve pick 2.

* Supporters say we need ruckmen, big defenders, forwards and onballers. Game is changing alot. Eagles backmen say can run on and use the footy well. Modelling ourselves on Geelong. There's a 2-3 years difference in age. Our backmen certainly lack physical size so hopefully we can add to help them out.

Miller on SEN with KB

* Judd deal - we're interested bystanders. Spoke to the Eagles yesterday and Greg reckons a deal is still a fair way off. Eagles aren't happy with what the Blues have offered (SEN still saying it's just pick 3 + Kennedy and could be done as early as this arvo). We've at least kept them honest.

* Trade Week - we'll try to be actively involved in trades for players in the 20-23 age bracket

* Travis Johnston - not interested due to his age but we'd look at him in the PSD if he ended up there.

* Jordan McMahon - we've spoken to his manager.

* Blake - we'll be talking to his manager today. Saints are the frontrunners.

* Adcock - no sign he wants to leave the Lions.

* Mitch Morton - Very keen. He's only 20 years old.

* If the Eagles gain pick 1 then Kreuzer could still be in our sights. Cotchin is a inside/outside midfielder. Cale Morton is a running-type who goes forward and back.

* A few Tiger supporters SMSed KB saying they will not renew their membership if we don't take Cotchin or if we trade pick 19 for Morton :lol.

* Sheeds -  wants to get him back to the club in some marketing role especially as it's our centenary.

* Schulz - there's been some interest. Sarge knows he still needs to make a big improvement. He's still developing as a deep forward.
