Richmond is mourning the passing of former player and reserves coach Peter Hogan, who died suddenly last Saturday, aged 62.
Peter, a talented rover, was recruited from Portland. He played 40 senior games with the Tigers from 1963-66 and kicked 58 goals.
After retiring from league football, Peter had a successful stint as a player and coach at VFA club Sandringham, as well as suburban clubs Highett and Parkdale.
He then joined the Sydney Swans as their seconds coach from 1982-84, before returning to Tigerland as coach of the Club’s reserve-grade team in 1985.
Throughout that time, Peter held down a key executive role with Ansett Airlines, and he also wrote a column for Inside Football magazine.
As a coach, he was highly regarded for his football ‘smarts’ and communicative ability.
As a bloke, he was great company and a real character.
The Club extends its deepest sympathy to Peter’s family and friends . . .
