Before I got a chance to hit record it was interesting that Mark Doran said, "they havent called all day so we've had to call them."  Still keeping the media coming to them.  :thumbsup

Foley on SEN today @ 12.50pm. Wrote a summary although Foley didn't give much away.

* Yeah it was a good win. A fair effort to win in Perth. It was not a crunch game. Just a game we had to win to get to 2 & 2 and now in the Eight. It's difficult to win at Subi. We had a consistent effort over 4 quarters and a team contribution.

* Mark Doran mentioned Axel was on record pace to break the assists record at half-time. Foley said yeah but I had a quieter second half. It was a team contribution with Newy and Richo and everyone. We had a high number of rotations which is the nature of footy these days and it was also 28-30 degrees.

* Richo had a great game on the wing. Huge contribution. He has a great fitness base and workrate. We knew towards the end of the week he would play on the wing during a closed training session. No idea if he will play there from now on. He has the attributes to play the role on the wing and back in defence.

* Doran mentioned Bowden having 30 possessions at Coburg. Foley said he fouund out Joel was dropped later in the week last week but it was in the media earlier. A surprise but it's a match committee decision. Doran asked if Joel will get back into a side that won by 64 points. Axel said he doesn't know but it's always a good sign for the team when it's hard to break into the side.

* Personally it's good to play some consistent footy. Yes it is more difficult with tags since late last year but it's part of the game and the likes of Judd and Kerr deal with it.

* Next week? Foley said he's not sure who'll he be on until he watches the video. Had Scott West last time. Doran said you might not have him this week. Axel said he's looking forward to the game.

Doran said afterwards to Robbo Foley loves the cliches so you don't get much out him.

A caller rang in and asked about Foley's chances in the Brownlow. Robbo reckons the umpires will notice Foley as he's under packs as well as bursting out of them on the run.

Pity he plays for Richmond.  Richmond players don't win brownlows, it's a canon of football.

Not winning many games and having a poor midfield might have something to do with that.

If he's playing to win a Brownlow then he doesn't deserve one.
