We've hardly been in front in recent years to know how to do it. Tempo footy worked for us throughout the game to gain some control of the game but we froze up in the last 5 minutes and played too safe so that's why it didn't work. Locking yourself in the back 50 never works. The problem when you do that is you hand the opposition the upper hand and by trying to save the game you actually are doing your best to lose it. It showed a lack of confidence to finish the job and too much fear and respect for the doggies reputation. Sure be accountable and not reckless when you have the lead but you can't go back in your shell either scared of stuffing up because then you will stuff up which is what happened today.

jay is maturing and playing weel , as is thursty and moore

deledio could be anything, tambling is starting to fire, foley is foley, edwards has the x factor, morton is class and just needs better fitness, riewoldt is a footballers footballers and will be a gun also, patto is our modern day benny gale and gets better every week, we still have cotch, casserly , connors, colins, cleve , rance , putt etc

future is bright

thank god we havent repeated efforts like round 2 and 3! lets move fwd and prove the footy world wrong about us

True X.

Our backline is young yet individually doing their job and as a whole jelling well. With Bowden now at Coburg we've now completely transformed our back six since this time last year when Gas was gaspared. Whether they remain as our back 6 in say 3-4 years is yet to be seen as you would think there'll be a spot for Rance once he develops but so far the current back 6 has been doing well mostly. Moore and Schulz look to have finally stood up this year and Thursty is as solid as ever on the opposition's number one forward each week.

Our skill level can still be off at crucial times which is frustrating but as quicker, better skilled and footy smart players come into the side as they have this year it is slowly improving and we have been able to play attacking footy. For all the disappoint of giving up a lead, we did kick 20 goals which is pleasing. Kick 20 most games and you'll win.
