Thats a soft statement.

Next time we play in the wet the boys will be expecting us to play badly.

Need to regain some intensity around stoppages.

Also highlighted that some of our 'go-to' players aren't as skilled as we think.

How come at the end of 2004 when Richmond, Hawthorn and Footscray all got priority picks for finishing in the bottom 3 with crap seasons, how come, we are still at the bottom and Hawthorn and Footscray are at the top of the ladder?

Because both of those teams had players that had been in the system a few years to start with.  For the Hawks, the likes of Young,  Bateman, Osborne, Williams, McGlynn, Sewell, Mitchell, Campbell Brown, Robert Campbell etc.  The 2004 draftees have just added the polish to this core group.  Same with the doggies.  Richmond started with the 2004 draft.  Hawthorn have always been 2 or 3 years ahead of Richmond in terms of development.

Sometimes saying nothing is better !!. (probably applies to this post too)

Yes the wet didnt suit our run and carry but the way he said it comes out like a cop out.

Better off just saying we had improved alot against the benchmark of the competetion. We are not complaining about the loss or saying we didnt improve, this thread is tittled "Not a wet weather side: Wallace" and thats what is being comented on.

I think we have impoved alot but this is about what he said and I think he could of put it better.

Maybe jezza is right and we should not comment on what the coach says. They put it out there and when they do its up for comment.

Perhaps he was quoted selectively too. Perhaps he DID say we are not complaining or words to that effect.
In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

Agree Beren. Take a microscope to a small part of the whole and you miss the bigger picture. Small facts and quotes in isolation do not improve understanding or knowledge.
