No FTA coverage this week - thank you AD & AA
« on: May 30, 2008, 05:54:46 PM »
Yep because everyone in Melbourne wants to watch the bore-fest that is a delayed telecast of St Kilda vs Melbourne when it's played in Melbourne ::). Sydney vs Richmond use to be always on FTA tv given the old South Melbourne supporters plus our Tiger hoardes. Thanks again Demetriou and Anderson  :banghead.

I also see on Y&B we've got no FTA games until Round 17 :P

The whole FTA / Pay TV setup is a disgrace and especialy for us Tiger fans. At least under the old deal there was two games on the Sunday (one edited but better than nothing).

I know we finshed last in 2007 but that has got nothing to do with TV ratings, we pull big TV ratings when they put us on  and yet for some reason that just dont schedule it our way.  Sydney V any of the Melbourne teams in Sydney should be shown live into Victoria every time. Give the supporters a break guys, they will watch, then TV stations will get the ratings, then advertiser will pay the TV stations more, then the TV stations will pay the AFL more. It realy is quite simple.    :banghead

I will have to go to the pub to watch the game, dam.   :gotigers

In regards to VIC/TAS broadcasting, St Kilda and Collingwood get all the love.

I think there are 18 Collingwood games and 17 Saints games on Free-TV this season.  ::)

All the others are in a pack between 9-13 basically.

St Kilda finished 9th last year and play the worst brand of footy  :sleep. Essendon too are FTA darlings. Surely next year if we have a half decent year with our support we should get FTA games in their place. I won't hold my breath though.
