Kyle Archibald
« on: August 24, 2004, 12:09:01 AM »
Kyle was interviewed on club corner last night:

Said he wasn't expecting to be drafted last year. Still had another year in the U18's to go.

Daniher brothers especially Terry helped him with his footy as they are both from Ungarie.

As WP mentioned at the time, when Kyle had OP he went back home to clear his head as it was hard for him to watch everyone train and play. Once he started improving he returned to Punt Road.

Looking forward to doing a big pre-season and playing more games next year.

All Richmond players can play for Coburg this week as the AFL season overlaps. Kyle's hoping as he was on the long term injury list he can still play in all the Coburg finals. From the memory the rule says you had to play 7 VFL games and no more than 12 AFL games (?).

Good to hear he's an Ungarie lad. Most of our players are from Upgarry.

Seen a little bit of the boy on saturday and i thought he showed good intensity and was pretty hard at the contest.

May develop into a handy player.

7 games it is to qualify to for VFL finals and I thik there is a cap on the number of AFL players that can play.

Kyle's played for memory 3 reserve games and ast week was his first for the seniors.

A impressive young fella to talk to.

I agree Bully - I thought he did well - moved well. Best news is he pulled up well after the game and wasn't suffering any after effects of OP

11 AFL listed players maximum in the finals. (I've also heard 12 but I think that's wrong)

MT says they can all play this week due to the overlap.
Not sure what the go is there so I'll stick with the knowledgeable. That's you MT in case you were wondering. :)

Archibald should be eligible. I believe with long-term injury you need to have played one VFL game and zero AFL games.
