This game was a good indicator on how good Cotch will be when you look at Carlton having all those early picks in the likes of Murphy, Gibbs & Kruezer. For mine Cotch showed today considering his experience and preparation that he has all 3 of them covered for sheer natural talent. I loved the tackle he shook off early on with a well balanced foot plant. They played it slow-mo on the tele and it was brilliant. If you look at it closely He didin't actually shake the tackle as such, he used the defender's momentum against himself, planted the foot and the next thing you see is the defender on his rear end with Cotch scooting away for an effective inside 50 which I think resulted in a goal! You just can't teach that stuff.
agree with you tiga....cotchin is a beauty and will soon develop into a champion..
highlight of the day was obviously the passage of play u described.....not only breaking the tackle but having the poise to deliver the perfect pass too...
cotch just has great vision...one play he took a great contested mark at half back and as soon as he landed, assessed his options...fired off a handball to a team mate and we broke away for a goal.....
also great at the end of the 3rd to see lids and cotch streaming up the middle of the G together with cotchin firing a perfect pass for browny...
