Any Tigers worthy of All-Australian?

Plough thinks Richo, Lids and Tuck are a show for All-Australian this year.

Your Thoughts?

DESPITE not making the finals in 2008, much has gone right down at Tigerland this year.

The team has come along. Players have come along. So much so that Richmond coach Terry Wallace found himself being quizzed about possible inclusions from his team in this year's All-Australian line-up.

Not bad for a team that finished last in 2007 with just three wins and a draw.

But who would Wallace nominate?

"Well, there's always players that'll come up in calculations, and it's speculative – if us coaches put in who we believed would get there, you'd probably have 80 blokes in the side," he said from Punt Road on Tuesday.

"That's the nature of it, it's not going to go down that pathway."

Come on Terry, give us some names.

"I thought Shane Tuck's finish to the season has been absolutely outstanding, but it is about 22 weeks and he wasn't great in probably the first seven or eight weeks," he said.

"It's interesting that his form has correlated to our form a little bit – when he's really stepped up, that's had an impact on us.

"Richo's (Matthew Richardson has) been super-consistent over the year – missed two games in the middle of it, but I certainly think his form's been good enough for (All-)Australian selection, particularly with such a big, massive change to his role, and having such an impact.

"I would think that he would be worthy.

"And Brett Deledio's the other one for us that's really come of age and played some terrific footy.

"So probably they would be the three that would be the most likely from us."

Richo for mine

Early in the year i would have said Foley but he's struggled a bit in the 2nd half

Richo doesn't need the 17 to be a captain of the club, he is without the title

lids is 14th for dispoals in the league is in the top 20 for bounces, inside 50, marks, has the lowest clanger count and nobody above him in possessions has kicked more goals and nobody above him in possessions is younger, I reckon he may be a chance PS and thats in a side outside the 8 and spending most of the season out of the midfield

Richo on the interchange for A-A in 08.

Would think that Lids would make the squad of 40, which would be fair recognition for his season.

Also, Tivva to make the VFL team of the year.

Richo has one wing penciled in for AA  :thumbsup.

I don't see anyone else from Richmond this year. As WP said Foley (up to state game) and Tuck (past 6-8 weeks) have had half-years. Lids could be a good show next year. It's hard to get in the AA mids/smalls with Ablett, Bartel, Corey, Hodge, Mitchell, Cooney, B.Harvey, Proplyzia, Swan, J.McVeigh and even possibly Judd or N.Stevens possibly making the AA side this year.

Hopefully Richo makes the All Australian side this year.
Been fantastic in most of the games he has played this year.

Richo on the wing
Lids may make the bench, but will probably just miss out, I'm sure he'll be in the initial short list, as will Tuck probably
