OT but, even in those days footballers were nomadic (or starting to chase the $).

1. BOURKE, Francis
2. CLAY, Dick
3. FOWLER, Laurie     Went to Melbourne
4. HUNT, Rex            Went to St Kilda and Geelong
5. KEANE, Merv
6. MCGHIE, Robert     Came from Footscray
7. BARTLETT, Kevin
8. CARTER, Noel
9. SHEEDY, Kevin
10. STEWART, Ian      Came from St Kilda
11. WALSH, Wayne    Went to Sth Melbourne then came back from Sth Melbourne
12. ROBERTS, Brian    Went to Sth Melbourne
13. BALME, Neil
14. GREEN, Mike
15. HART, Royce
16. RAE, Stephen      Came from St Kilda
17. SPROULE, Paul     Came from Essendon
18. WOOD, Bryan       Went to Essendon

These are the ones I can remember - there might have been more (esp Noel Carter - had an idea he went/came from elsewhere).

McGhie went back to Footscray for a year ('79) and then played for South in the early 80s.

Noel Carter went on to captain East Fremantle in the WAFL.

We let Walsh go to South for $500 and then paid $8000 to get him back. Mind you we won two flags on his return.

Minor correction MT, Noel is revered down at South Freo Bulldogs.

A work colleague of mine would never forgive me if I didn't mention it .... :lol

Typo Doh! Cheers Darth. It does have South Freo in the Encyclopedia of AFL footballers.
