Mentioned on Ch 7 news and 3aw

Apparently Cloke tried to diffuse a situation and as he walked away was king hit from behind. They said he's suffered a suspected fractured cheekbone.

Collingwood star forward Travis Cloke hurt in confrontation
AAP | January 01, 2009 07:30pm

COLLINGWOOD star forward Travis Cloke has been hurt in a confrontation with several men while holidaying in Queensland.

The 21-year-old was with friends in a holiday unit in Maroochydore, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, on New Year's Eve, when they were disturbed by a group of people in a unit above them.

"There were some blokes throwing ice around, skylarking and I think interfering with the group that Travis was in, including a couple of girls," Magpies chief of football operations Geoff Walsh said.

"They were throwing ice. I think the ice hit some of Travis' party.

"They went upstairs to the next unit and said 'boys, tone it down a bit.'

"Travis and his mate were apparently set on by a number of guys."

Cloke was taken to hospital after the incident with a suspected cheekbone fracture, but discharged shortly after.

Collingwood medical staff were planning to further examine him when he returned to Melbourne.

In my opinion he is the best of the Clokes and he is a walking target as he is something special.
So this brave prick now will be bragging that he was the one that knocked Cloke to the ground.
But we all know that he was nothing but a guless prick, and I hope he get what he is due to him soon.

The young fella would have learned a lesson about FNQ, it is different to the rest of Australia.

Doubt he would have learned much about it in Maroochydore.  ;)

Holiday units, so they could have been from anywhere. Be interested to see if what actually transpired comes to light.
Travis was a nice kid as a teenager. Don't think he'd look for trouble.
