How many days a week do the players train?
« on: April 30, 2009, 03:31:34 PM »
They they not fit in a few more sessions in regards to kicking or tackling as well as normal training?

how many days per week do they train? it would be nice if they are losing for often, that they could drink less grog and train abit harder.

They pretty much train/play six days a week. I think they normally get Thursday off depending on when the next game is scheduled. As for doing more sessions on specific areas that is controlled by the fitness staff. For example old fashioned goalkicking practice for an hour or two is sadly now frowned upon because it is considered to put to much extra load on modern players' legs (hammies etc).

Geez, During the 70's they trained twice a week and got p1ssed after each session! They would often have a smoke at half time! Lucky to see them get drunk these days!

Especially when too many beers negatively affects their fitness level testings (skinfolds etc).
