Natanui

is anyone else sick of all the hype about Natanui??

the guy does next to nothing against us, then doesn't even get a kick for 3 quarters against Hawthorn before he kicks 3 in the final term, 1 of which was practically handed to him on a plate (the 2nd one), then can't even get a kick in the game against Melbourne, the bottom side!

surely this is not what is to be expected of a superstar that many are making him out to be.

and no, i'm not "jealous", i'm just sick and tired of all the un-warranted hype!

Not sure on this one, with his looks he is sure to be a cult figure and attract positive media speculation.

Happy for youngsters to get praise when they're starting out, it can go the other way easily enough as Richie Tambling would know.

Nat's shown in his 3 games what we all saw last year in the U18 Championships. He doesn't get much of the ball but when he does he'll do 3 or 4 things that are amazingly athletic. His critics will say he don't do anywhere near enough for a high pick and he avoids kicking whereas his fans will say those 3-4 special moments per game he does will eventually become 20 in 5 years time when he fills out and builds up his fitness to AFL standard. Nat was a risk for whichever club picked him up but if it pays off it'll pay off bigtime for the Eagles. For Melbourne Watts was the 'safer' choice. Daniel Rich was the safest choice of last year's draft as he was ready-made. Brisbane have been doing cartwheels since he fell to pick 7. Some dumb recruiters out there (hello Freo!).
