* Mike admitted the Herald-Sun website went with a story that was inaccurate. The media genuinely felt it was going to happen so they went with it.

* We (media) have some egg on our face. The problem with aiming to be first with this modern technology. If you get it wrong there's embarrassment.

* Wouldn't it have been simpler for Richmond to just send a electronic message around at 10 am that Terry was safe. They butchered Newman yesterday in the media conference. Not blaming Richmond as the media got it wrong.

* Russell said he would like to know the player who leaked what it was said in the aftermatch meeting.

* They replayed Hardy on 6PR on Monday night saying there'd be some action at Richmond.

* A caller said you guys in the media lack credibility because you make claims based on saying things like "we are lead to believe" or "sources close to the club say". It was defended as you can't tip off your sources.

* Mike said the club still handled it badly holding an emergency meeting before training and Terry not being at training. A caller said Terry didn't turn up to the first training session of the week last week and the media didn't make a big deal about it. Mike said given what happened Terry should have taken training.

* Callers were bagging the crap out of Hutchy  lol. Saying he is always wrong and he always carries on when on TV to sound big and important having a separate seat with Lyon on the footy show and fighting with Caro on Footy Classified.

* Another caller wanted Mike to write an apology in the paper. Mike said what does he have to apologise for.

* Mike said Robbo and Hutchy have been whacked by the public over this but there's a balance to being first and being right and it's a lesson to young journos. At times we get it wrong trying to be first and we have to live with it.
