STEVO SAYS
RICHMOND, like last year, has a favourable run to September. Caretaker coach Jade Rawlings has the ideal platform to show his wares.

"Jade Rawlings might end up looking a genius. The Tigers will beat Melbourne (this time) and a huge chance against North and Sydney at the ’G. Don’t be surprised if Jade’s team rolls West Coast at Subi too."

Ever the optimist WP  ;D

As much as I believe we should aim to win only one more to get the PP we probably have realistic chances against the following 4:
North
Melbourne
Sydney at the 'G (although they are another bogey side)
Eagles

I could also see us with retirements such as Joel's imminent making the Pies game our crunch game for their farewell.

If we and the Eagles have only 4 wins leading into round 22 it'll get interesting at Subi. Where's Joel with his rushed behinds when you need them lol.

Does anyone else look at that draw and think IF ONLY

If only we had beaten Melbourne in round 4
If only we had hung on against Port in round 8
If only Jack wasnt tackled running into an open goal against Sydney.
We could be 5-7 and still a silly chance.

I can see us realisticly winning 5 of the last 10 which will give us 8-14 record for 2009.
I would suggest 8 wins this year will be quite flattering to us-Wall paper over the cracks.

At least we have learnt a valuable lesson this year and thats not to get too excited over victories which happen in a seasons junk time.

Pro Tankers....I look at that draw and its going to be very hard to manufacture 9 defeats.

Thinking about that is quite funny.  I have no doubt that in that scenario both teams will be tanking in R22 and I can just picture it now - Tiges a point up, Bowden rushes a behind only to have the free paid (who changes these rules anyway?) and then Lynch takes the free from 10 mts out and misses everything.  Then the AFL launch an investigation into tanking and try to prove that either or both teams played out those last few seconds deliberately.  A bit of entertainment to close a weird season.  ???

Dont forget Smokey players running towards the opposition goals wondering why no one is chasing them. :lol
