Martin Clarke late in the draft

Forget about phantom drafts and stuff. This is a serious question. We have seen that Kennelly changed his mind and came back after quitting the swans. Collingwood delisted Clarke and I think Clarke can actually play.

He delivers the footy properly by foot and he is still only 22 or 23 years of age. I think that we as a club should engage in discussions with Clarke and see what the chances are of him coming back to Australia are. If he gives any hint that he could come back then we need to serious consider drafting him in this draft. Clarke is a good midfielder, he is better than most of our listed midfielders, he can also play across half back.

Whats peoples thoughts on Martin Clarke.

Yeah he would be worth looking at and I don't believe he has come anyware near his potential yet either. Unfortunatley we have more chance of Richo coming back IMO, he is too home sick and it would surprise the hell out of me if he returmed. Also wouldn't the Pies have to be compensated in some way even though his contract was up........ or was it??

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.
