2008 AFL Draft Review: Richmond

Tyrone Vickery
Jayden Post
Tom Hislop

A lot of things that Richmond do are not the best, but this draft could be very good for them.

They needed height and they got it with Tyrone Vickery. It could take a few more years to become a star but he has all the required characteristics, with his mobility, skills and height.

Post, at the time, seemed a bit of a reach in the draft. But it was a good pick. He can play in a variety of roles.

Richmond added Hislop and Thomson a year ago, one in the draft and one via trade, that probably wasn't a good idea as Richmond had plenty of other players who did a similar thing.
