Just watched it and was catapulte back in time something fierce!
Lillee,Marsh,Pascoe,Andy Roberts,Joel Garner,Viv Richards,the list goes on.

What a genius Packer was.
Wanted the broadcasting rights to the cricket for channel 9 so he started his own comp...with the vest palyers in the world
Even had a hit song to get the punters right in.(come on Aussie)
 
It actually was the best thing for cricket to ever happen,imo.

I remember those matches s if it were only yesterday.

Watched it as well Ox. An amazing collection of great fast bowlers all playing at the one time back when the Windies could bowl as many bouncers an over that they felt like.

Geez we were crap in the 80's. Got thrashed every year (like the Tiges  ). So the selectors chucked most of the dud oldies out, made Border captain and played youngsters Waugh, Boony and co  and the rest is history. A lesson there for RFC  .
