This imbecilic term is surely a paper dragon,at least by todays standards.

Servant of the game??LMAO

The whole game is a joke ,

Maybe it should be,"Loyal jester of the Joke"

It is one of them cliche's drummed up by Journo's and regurgitated by others as they mutually masturbate during games.  :whistle

I can't exactly explain what loyal servant of the game means exactly.
All I can say that saying is about as relevant as the terms
One week at a time
The boys have been working really hard.
There are 44 players on a senior list.
Eight point game

Just to name a few. :thumbsup

I also detest the term "brand" and "product". Why cant we keep some of it as a "game"?"A loyal servent to the game who promoted its product and always played a good brand"  >:(

As a player it means you were crap but survived to carve out a career of some note, as an administrator it means youve hung around footy too long and as a volunteer it means the journos reckon youve wasted your life as a hangers on type. ;D

It's still a better expression than any of the annual cliches you hear this time of year.
