VERSATILE defender Antoni Grover could quit Fremantle within a week.
Grover was offered a downgraded contract by the Dockers last month and is considering nominating for the pre-season draft.
It is believed Richmond and the Kangaroos have flagged interest in the 24-year-old.
Loxley, also Grover's manager, said he would talk to the defender today. "He was offered a reduced contract and he has asked me to see if there was any interest from other clubs," Loxley said. "There has been a positive response and I will be contacting a few clubs."
Speaking during a four-day camp in Broome, Grover said his preference was to remain at Fremantle, where he has played 75 games over six seasons.
"I'd love to stay there, but it depends on what arises," Grover said. "I'm pretty close to the Dockers boys and being a Perth boy, it's a tough decision."
Dockers' football manager Steven Icke said he was hopeful Grover would remain a Docker.
"We put an offer on the table and we'd like to see him stay," Icke said. "There's always that uncertainty that he won't agree to the terms because can go into the pre-season draft and try his luck there, but we're hopeful he won't."
