Cotchin on TAC Future stars
« on: July 11, 2010, 01:13:56 PM »
Trents answers on TAC Cup future stars.

- Said its not a surprise to be winning, great for the group to show each other their hard work and structures are correct. Great for all the fans that have stuck by the Tigers.
- Plough mentioned he's playing more in the midfield now and is looking really at home. Trent agreed and is enjoying it. (Plough idiot... :banghead)
- Martin has the best fend off and is so strong in close, loves playing in the guts with him
- Connors has come back really well, club has faith was awesome last night. (Wallace interuptted :banghead saying "we"knew he was the best player left in the draft he had some mental issues but it was the right call)
- Talked about Under 18 days, how he only got tagged once (Pat McGinnity) and is so different now being tagged and not having much space to run but thats footy and is learning.
- Talked about Kruesar his mate a bit how he hope he comes back and some TAC things un Richmond related.

Hutchy finished with "Trent is earmarked the next Richmond captain"..  :banghead

Spoke well whilst being interviewed by a pack of muppets.
Go Tigers!

We know where mini-me Barrett learns it all from  ::)

Connors was listed at pick 10 in some phantom drafts at the time. It was his attitude and off-field issues that made other clubs question his commitment so Dan slid down the draft. I know Plough has few fans but that line wasn't too inaccurate. We took the risk and hopefully now it will pay off. We also took the risk with Peterson near the same pick as Connors and that flopped as he wasn't mature enough for AFL footy at the time and the final straw was putting his fist through a glass door.

A bit more from Cotch in today's Herald-Sun...

The Tigers take on North Melbourne on Sunday, then Collingwood, Adelaide and Melbourne. All four games are at the MCG.

Young midfielder Trent Cotchin said the Tigers could dare to dream after developing a belief they can overcome any challenge.

"We've had the same message from day one and that hasn't changed," Cotchin said. "If the coaches keep producing the same messages, then we're going to play in the same way, so hopefully there's a lot more to come.

"I think finals are nearly out of our reach. There's always that little bit of hope there, but the focus will purely be on getting ready for the next couple of years."
