A snippet from Dimma in his EOTT report talking about our improved skill level in recent weeks

While it may look like the overall skill level of our players has improved dramatically in recent weeks, I believe they have always had the skills.  What they’re starting to do now, though, is make better decisions with the ball, which is great to see.  We had a bit of trouble early on this year slowing our blokes down when they won possession, and had to remind them that the ball moves quicker than an individual can run.  You only have to look at Geelong play, with the way they flick the ball around.  The Cats aren’t overly quick, but they move the ball at a rapid rate.  So, we spoke to our players about the importance of them becoming more composed with the footy.  And, now, they’re starting to understand that they can take three deep breaths before delivering the ball.  It is particularly pleasing because it’s something we’ve been preaching for a long period of time, and it’s finally starting to come to fruition.

Bloody good coach is Hardwick!  :cheers Is all about improving our players individually and as a unit with the results to take care of themselves. TW wanted a quick side but half the time our players took off only to run into the opposition rather than away from them.

Great advice and great coaching. Amazing what happens when you are consistent with your messages and game plan.  :thumbsup
