Sure thing, Tiger
MARK HAWTHORNE
July 22, 2010

SOME players should be a little more careful what they say on their mobile phones, especially in public places.

A fairly well known Richmond player was yesterday spotted outside an Italian language school in Cardigan Street in Carlton.

He was speaking loudly via his Bluetooth device, as he paced up and down. ''You can forget us for this year now that Cotchin's been rubbed out - but we're a sure thing for 2011,'' he said.

Midfielder Trent Cotchin was, of course, suspended for four weeks for charging North Melbourne's Sam Wright. It's so much better when the thoughts of players aren't filtered and sanitised by a club media department.

Great article about nothing here  :sleep

Good to know though, that the players are focused and filled with enough belief to speak with such confidence about next year. Good sign.

Agree Stripes.  "Sure thing"?  In his dreams maybe, and I fear those dreams may be a tad damp.

Wouldn't it be funny though, if they were setting up the journo or some other bystander to see if they could be trusted!

Sure is. Although it's pretty disheartening if they've already given up on 2010.
There's still a few scalps I want to take this year.

It'll be sweeter when the 4 points counts towards finals  :thumbsup. If we had a choice of beating Carlton in round 20 this year or round 1, 2011, I know I'll take the latter. More enjoyable to gain revenge when the win also counts for something for us.

If this Age 'journo' is being serious then what a classy  ::) effort listening in on other people's conversations just for that :sleep
