Ben Cousins in Tigers' sights

BEN Cousins is being chased by the Tigers to make a comeback - the Balwyn Tigers that is.

After retiring from Richmond last season, Cousins, 32, is believed to be in the sights of the powerhouse Eastern Football League first division club, at which wealthy businessman and sportsman Geoff Lord is a key figure.

The chairman of Melbourne Victory and a former Hawthorn president, Lord offered "no comment" when he was asked about recruiting Cousins.

But Cousins' agent Carlie Merenda said: "There's no footy at the moment - he's getting himself into good shape and has got some work opportunities in Perth. They probably might need him there for the next three months before the season starts.

"Then if he wants to come to Melbourne, we'll watch some games and maybe have some involvement, but I am not too sure what level."
