So no Dusty, Deledio, Cotch, Grigg and Jack from first glance.

Looking forward to seeing Conca, Helbig, Contin and Batchelor.
And you may not think I care for you

At first glance, pies look the strongest (I think it's 18 premiership players in the squad) then Carlton with us being a long way last.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Kel Moore I would think. He is in the leadership group.

He is?

He was in 2009 but wasn't in 2010 and I haven't read anywhere that there has been any changes in 2011

Kingy should captain IMHO  ;D

Kingy should be captain and should lead by example, particularly against Colonwood.

No cheap sniping just head over the ball.

It would tell us heaps about his character.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

No Casserley either. Did he get left out because of the flu tablet episode being made public?

It ain't going to be pretty with our midfield missing  :help. Not sure why we are so weak when we are trying to spruik the Fighting Tiger Fund and what top young players we have who aren't playing  :-\.

Hard to once again come up with a starting 18....

B:   O'Reilly        Moore       Grimes
HB: Connors       Astbury     Webberley
C:  Edwards        Contin       Morton
HF:  Conca          Miller        White
F:    Nason         Vickery       Taylor

R:  Browne      Tuck     King

Int: Derickx, Rance, Nahas, Helbig, Jakobi, Keddell

Subs: Gourdis, Thursfield

Emg (from): Batchelor, MacDonald, Dea, Westhoff

Not too fussed if we get flogged.
As long as they're up and about for round 1.

Tiger cubs prepare for 'Flagpies'
Jon Pierik
February 11, 2011

Hardwick said the focus was on round one of the season proper, despite suggestions an impressive start to the pre-season would help kickstart the club's $6 million fundraising campaign.

''Whatever side we put out there, we think will be competitive,'' Hardwick said yesterday. ''There are a lot of things we are looking to gain from it, and the scoreboard is not necessarily one of them. We have a lot stuff that we have put into practice over the course of the pre-season that we are looking to come out on Saturday night.

''We are going to go in with a relatively young squad, an inexperienced squad but looking with eager eyes to see how the likes of [Reece] Conca, [Jake] Batchelor and [Tom] Derickx that we have just brought into our club go which is very exciting for our fans to see.''

''We won't compromise anything we do. Our preparation for the NAB Cup is effectively round one. Whatever is best for our players come round one is how we suit up.''
