TIGERS ON FIRE

Gary March rated Richmond's 2008 season as only a five out of 10 despite the club winning eight of its last 11 games.

Three years on, the Richmond president is thrilled with the club's development this year under Damien Hardwick.

That does not mean there aren't areas for improvement, but ahead of the club's Dreamtime at the 'G clash he says the Tigers are on track.

"Absolutely. All we wanted to see was improvement from last year to this year, and we have shown improvement in our game style,'' he told the Buzz.

"Obviously, our ability to score heavily against good sides has been positive, but defensively we aren't where we want to be at. Still, in areas like kicking efficiency where we have been really poor over a long period of time, we are in the top quartile.''

Richmond's coaching department is well aware the team is bleeding goals, a situation not helped by quality back Kel Moore's continuing absence with hip issues.
