Gourdis was drafted in the PSD in 2007 and spent a year on the senior list. He then was delisted and picked up in the rookie draft in 2008 where he spent 2009-10 on our rookie list before being promoted back to the senior list this year. Promoted rookies get 2 year contracts from memory.

Tucky signed a new deal midway through last year from memory at the same time Tambling did.

Gee thats just a sad story isn't it but one that is all too familiar at the RFC. 4 years for no return, list clogger and a player considered by some as our .."depth". Add Post as well I suppose.

Isn't it Posts 3rd season? Bit harsh. Took Kel Moore 5 years before he was consistent at AFL level

I'm not sure man. Has ability and I'd be willing to give him more time if he's willing to put in the hard yards. It will be interesting to see where he fits into the side in future. Astbury the future CHB apparently, Jack FF, Griff CHF...and stuff knows who will be our full back in a couple of years. Posty has a challenge ahead of him

Yeah agree he does have a challenge ahead and he has had a chalenge for 3 years now too.....Mmmm, jury out at the moment, I really thought he would have played more games up until now though, but hey who knows whats around the corner. There is one thing for sure though, he can't get a better chance than this Saturday night can he.

The problem for Kel is most of his career he has been injured. He was drafted as a rookie at the end of 2002 and really only in 2008 and in parts of 2010 has he been able to play some good footy.

As for Goo - after playing the last 3 games last year and earning promotion back onto the senior list he should have already played at least some senior games so far this year if he was going to make it and survive the cull at the end of the season. It's not as though we haven't needed a big key back. Sadly for Dave his unreliable footskills have always been the issue.

Postie was drafted the year after Goo (same year as Vickery) so next year his 4th will be critical for him. If Postie is still basically where he is then it'll be hard to see him survive on our list post-2012.

Tuck
Moore
Thursfield
Graham
Morton
Connors
Gourdis
Taylor
Hicks
Westhoff
Hislop
Miller
McGuane
Post
White
Nason
Webberley
Browne
Contin
Jackson
Edwards
Farmer

All either closing in on the edge, on the edge, over the edge or already a corpse rotting at the bottom of a cliff.
Can't see anyone outside that list getting the ass this year. Everyone from Miller up is in real kaka.
Early days for BrownE as young big rucks can look totally unco at 20 as anyone who saw a young Benny Gale play will testify and maybe one or two other youngins will improve to the decent level in time. Apart from that that list isn't far off and shows we are still a long way off with our rebuild and why we need to go back to the well (draft) and bring in more young talent who are classier than most of the players we have now. To cull most of that list will take 2-3 draft periods as you'd expect with GWS hogging this upcoming draft our ability to cull large numbers again will be limited.
