Thought 2 positives were Rance and Thursfield.
Also, they need to play Lids forward of the ball, not behind the ball
Forget about playing him off half back, is a waste

Do you see any hope for Rance? I have to admit hes made a very fair improvement this year and can hold his head up high IMHO.

Problem with Alex is his height, all things being equal next years with Grimes and possibly Astbury to take the bigger forwards, he would get the 3rd tall, which would help his game, Problem is that McGaune still has another year of his contract, current form saysd that he couldnt possibly be traded is form is so poor.
Will T was good today and actually took contested marks which is a good sign

Personally if no one takes McGuane in a trade the club should pay him out and leave open a place on the list for a new kid imho. Grimes, Astbury and Rance is a start in terms of developing a defence, admitted it has a long long way to go.

Maybe some playing or coaching careers are heading towards their end.

Jack's second half was good. Tuck was good. Thursfield plays well on small forwards that should become his specialist role

I agree with Thursfield. He's nearly a keep in my books, because he does well on the small/mediums. We could carry him if we get rid of McGuane and the quality of the backline around him is better.

The first half was good with the expection of the final 10-12 minutes of the 2nd qtr where we lost the game

Ball movement was a lot quciker and more fluent this week

Third qtr was very pleasing to get back within in 4 goals simple because we moved the ball fast and direct like we did in the first half of the season.

The last 15 minutes of the 3rd qtr made the final qtr all the more disappointing IMHO - all the momentum and not a yelp in the first 20 minutes of the fianl qtr - extremely disappointing

Individual positives - Rance by a long way, showing greater leadership qualities at the moment, can tell he is bleeding for the cause.

Liked Vickery  - problem we had though the 3 tall forwards (Jack, Ty & Miller) worked really well in the 1st but because Gus was well Gus we had to keep taking Vickery out of the forward line.... have to say we looked much better when Vickery was in the ruck - competed really well againsr Nic Nat

Houli was better this week

Best game THursfield's played in over 12 months IMHO

Agree with Jack - wasting time having Lida playing HB - not needed with Houli able to play that role
