Gieschen also said that the standard of umpiring, whilst "really good" for much of round 20, was below the level expected in Saturday night's Essendon versus Sydney clash, and in West Coast's win over Richmond on Sunday.

"In every game we know there are going to be a few decisions (that the umpires get wrong), but in a couple of games we found a few more errors than we would've liked," he said.

Would love to know what "a few more than we would've liked" actually equates to in numbers

Would guess at least 10 (and I am being conservative btw) ;D

Seriously, that's not good enough.
The umpire association is the governing law if the actual game.
Screwing up week in, week out is the equivalent of cops arresting the wrong member of society.

The game clearly can no longer be mediated by the human eye.

It's ego and a traditionalist outlook that is in the way of progressing to the introduction of the cam red.

Furthermore, Gieschen should be fired.
As a man in charge- he fails....again!

In the video in the above link wayne posted, Geisch said the Nahas tackle on Mitch Brown should have been called "play on". Nahas didn't push Brown in the back and Brown got his foot to the ball.

Play on?
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Yahweh? or the great Clawski?

Yeah where the stuff did he get that from?  He can't help himself, has to have a 2 way bet and try and take the edge off of the obviously corrupt decision.  Does he think he is a stuffing Jedi or something...waves his hand and we all see what he wants us to?  Mind you he is as ugly as yoda.
Lots of people name their swords......

Actually, Andrew Dimwittiou and Eddie McGuire both remind me more of Jabba the Hut. More chins than a Chinese phonebook...
