GOLD Coast Suns players Campbell Brown and Maverick Weller were detained and handcuffed after allegedly being involved in a fight with a Thai policeman.
The club confirmed an incident last night, saying it would grill the players when they arrived back in Australia at the weekend.
They were detained early on Tuesday morning on the Thai island of Koh Phangan, which is famous for its Full Moon Party.
The Herald Sun understands they were at a nightclub when an Australian began arguing with them.
The players left, but Weller was then allegedly struck by a man, who they later discovered to be a plain-clothes policeman.
The Suns players allegedly retaliated, but it was unclear last night if punches were thrown.
They were then detained and handcuffed but later released without charge.
The club last night said in a statement that it did not tolerate poor behaviour.
"Preliminary investigations indicate that Thai authorities have dealt with the matter and no further action was necessary; however, the Gold Coast Suns have high expectations when it comes to player behaviour," the statement said.
"The club will discuss the incident with the players concerned when they return from their holiday."

No the best news for a new club experiencing its first off-season. They would of expect more from Brown I would of thought.
