Small Out Big In
« on: October 18, 2011, 06:46:19 PM »
So it seems we have just about delisted all of our small lightly framed players. This is something that has been with our club for years ands it's good to see we are focusing on a bit of size.

With the inclusion of Maric and Morris and perhaps another decent sized player through the psd and the rookie draft we should decent sized players next year with the others bulking up.

Nahas and King are stocky for their size, Conca will bulk up, Grimes has apparently, Ty will be bigger.

Edwards will feel left out......last little boy left in the side now.

Agree with your general statement WAT. it is definitely pleasing to see our side bulking up.
Disagree with your assessment on Nahas, though. He aint stocky! He's tiny, all round.

Ok, I thought Nahas was a bit bigger body wise, but by God he had a good year very good so it appears he can use his size well.

 :clapping bravo sir....

agree that it's good to see some of the "light framers" go & some bigger types come in (although little mitchy farmer had a bit of a pud guts)...hopefully we can start to develop some of our young blokes too - something I think we have failed the players on in the past...

Yes, it would help stabilise his centre of gravity when he changes direction quickly. This may explain why he is so good at baulking opponents.

Or did you mean off the field?

What is the white crow on the Nahas nasty?
Who isn't a fan of the thinking man's orange Tim Fleming?

Gerks 27/6/11

But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...
