Preseason state of play - Richmond (afl site)
« on: February 01, 2012, 12:18:31 PM »
RICHMOND

Snapshot:
Don't hold your breath waiting for a bold statement from Punt Rd this season. The Tigers are keeping things very low-key as they strive to make the top eight in their third year under coach Damien Hardwick. One area they're working on is improving their skills under pressure.

Medical room: The return to full training of Trent Cotchin (calf) and Jack Riewoldt (hips, finger, ankle) means the Tigers have almost a full list on the park. Kelvin Moore (hip) and David Astbury (knee) remain on the long-term injury list.

Who's burning: Shane Edwards is a new man after putting on 7.5kg since last season, bringing his weight to 81.5kg, which should enable him to mix it in the midfield. Daniel Jackson could run all day, while Ivan Maric has shown good endurance during time-trials in his first pre-season since coming across from Adelaide.

NAB Cup opener: February 17 v North Melbourne and Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium.

Who isn't a fan of the thinking man's orange Tim Fleming?

But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...
