Where will we finish on the ladder?
« on: August 01, 2012, 05:28:22 AM »
Herald-Sun has us finishing 12th with 10 wins. So they are predicting us to win three more this season.

MATT WINDLEY'S PREDICTED LADDER

1. Adelaide 18-4
2. Hawthorn 17-5
3. Sydney 17-5
4. Collingwood 17-5
5. West Coast 16-6
6. North Melbourne 14-8
7. Geelong 14-8
8. Essendon 13-9
----------------
9. Fremantle 12-10
10. Carlton 12-10
11. St Kilda 11-11
12. Richmond 10-12
13. Brisbane Lions 9-13
14. Port Adelaide 6-16
15. Western Bulldogs 5-17
16. Melbourne 4-18
17. Gold Coast 2-20
18. Greater Western Sydney 1-21

12. RICHMOND
28pts 105.6%

R19: Brisbane Lions, Gabba
R20: Western Bulldogs, MCG
R21: Fremantle, Paterson Stadium
R22: Essendon, MCG
R23: Port Adelaide, MCG

Matt says: First time in club history it has lost three games in a row by under a kick. Ouch. Got to start converting those close losses in to wins if the 2013 finals predictor is to have Richmond ensconced in the top eight.

That would confirm our pathway of improvement although I'd like to jag an upset as well. Jackstar did a nice job showing our win loss improvement since 2009 on another thread then posted some dribble. 3 wins in 09, 5 in 10, 8 last year and 10-11 this year. Nice if it happens but the next step will be much harder mentally and will be a real test for our list and coaching staff. To borrow a quote from a mad watpngq "no excuses"!
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Jackstar is back!!!

It looks like we'll now finish with 10-11 wins depending if we beat Essendon or not. We should beat the Dogs and Port while Freo over there will be tough to win and will most likely be a loss. I'm guessing all that will keep us where we are now 12th on the ladder which will give us pick 8 in the National Draft. I can live with that as our first round pick.
