Sports agent Ricky Nixon questioned over car, tram collision

UPDATE 2.58pm:
RICKY Nixon has reportedly blown more than twice the legal alcohol limit after allegedly leaving the scene of an accident.
Nixon recorded a reading of .108 after a collision between a car and a tram in Swan St, Richmond about 11.15 last night, a source has confirmed.
A press pack was camped outside Mr Nixon’s Kew property this afternoon.
It proved a curious scene for neighbours and passers-by.
A news helicopter was spotted flying above Mr Nixon’s house.
“He won’t come outside surely,” said one man. “He’d be stupid to.”
A police spokesman said this morning that a 45-year-old man was assisting police with inquiries in relation to the incident.
"The man left the scene of the incident, and was spoken to by police at his Kew home a short time later,'' police spokesman Glen Atwell said.
He accompanied police to Collingwood police station where he underwent a breath test.
He was released without charge pending further investigation.
Witnesses claimed Nixon, now one of the highest profile sporting agents in the country, left the scene of the accident before police arrived.
A woman believed to be Nixon's wife braved a media contingent sitting outside their house in Kew this morning.
But she had no comment as she pulled out of the driveway in a late-model four-wheel-drive.
A second man left the house, and also declined to comment.
A police media spokesman confirmed a breath test was carried out on a 45-year-old man last night, but would not release the results of the test.
Nixon is the founder and managing director of the Flying Start management agency and has enjoyed a high profile in recent years as the manager of Richmond's Ben Cousins.
Nixon also managed Wayne Carey but was famously sacked after alleging on radio that the former Kangaroo captain had gone on a three-day drinking binge back in 2002.
Other players managed by Flying Start include Nick Riewoldt, Matthew Richardson, and Tom Hawkins.
In his playing days, Nixon lined up for Carlton and Hawthorn but had his most successful spell at St Kilda, where he played 51 games between 1986 and 1991. He retired in 1993.
